Big Boosts for Road Show and Revolving Fund programs
Two new grants for MPA will help sustain two of our most significant programs. A 3-year, $60,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) will support our Path Less Traveled: Montana Preservation Road Show. And, the Montana Business Assistance Connection with a grant from the MT Dept. of Commerce Big Sky Trust Fund will assist MPA in creating a feasibility and implementation plan for our historic building redevelopment (revolving fund) program. Traveling Art Exhibit Offers Host of New Perspectives
The MPA's Reimagine Montana Traveling Exhibit kicks off a summer-long celebration of heritage at Montana's national parks, monuments, and landmarks, and also commemorates 30 years of MPA's efforts to preserve and protect heritage places all across our state. Read more . . .
On June 3, the MPA, the Montana History Foundation (MHF), and author Charlotte Caldwell were the recipients of the Vernacular Architecture Forum's Award for Advocacy, honoring 6 years of work to document and preserve Montana's one- and two-room schoolhouses. Read more . . .
