MPA IN YOUR TOWN

All year, every year our valiant staff of three is hard at work in the office and in the field -- raising awareness and encouraging revitalization of everything from barns and battlefields to schools, stores and entire downtowns. In the first part of 2011, we completed our forthcoming book, Hand Raised: The Barns of Montana; visited Glendive to help encourage a new Main Street community; and set a restoration carpentry training program in motion in Yellowstone Park. We are currently coordinating a summer volunteer project in Nevada City, and helping folks with the Big Arm School and the Danvers Church transform their heritage buildings into community history archives. We’re all over the map, and we’re right on track to more preservation success stories.
