Working with
Montana Main Street
MPA is delighted to assist the Montana Department of Commerce’s Main Street program in their efforts to expand and promote Main Street across Montana. Through this partnership with Montana Main Street, MPA’s experienced staff will help to promote and bring new life into downtowns all across the state. Services ranging from community workshops and design consultations to funding strategies and heritage tourism will help communities achieve their visions for a better downtown.
Main Street is a proven program that has rejuvenated towns and communities in 40 states across the nation since 1980. As a member of the National Trust for Historic Preservation’s network, Main Street is committed to keeping downtowns across America vibrant, sustainable and authentic. Nationwide, Main Street in 2008 generated 39,050 new jobs and 87,850 new businesses. In Montana, 253 new jobs and 143 new businesses have been created in the four-year period from 2006 to 2009, along with bringing the high-profile National Folk Festival to Butte for three years.
MPA looks forward to working with established and new Main Street communities to make downtown Montana a vibrant and indispensable stop for locals and tourists.
