LOWER VALLEY BARNS TOUR

COLUMBIA FALLS, MT JUNE 16, 2018

The history of Kalispell and the Lower Valley north of Flathead Lake owes it's existence to the railroad, but it was rich soil and agricultural development that brought so many to settle the land and build handsome farmsteads. Use the left and right arrows to browse the photos. Many thanks to Jack Stephens at the Angel Theater (former LaSalle Grange); Genevieve Shulze, Brent Menish, and Ellen Naumann at the Bruyer Granary; Dean Robbins at the Wiley Homestead; Kevin Shinn with the US Fish & Wildlife Service's Blasdell Waterfowl Production Area; Gael Bissell retired MT Fish, Wildlife, & Parks, and Donetta Antonovich, great-granddaughter of Joseph McClarty for so much help with this tour.

Stay tuned for a video history about the McClarty Barn on this tour.
