High-Style Architecture Tour
Kalispell, West Glacier & Glacier National Park, MT JUNE 14, 2018
By traveling to the Conrad Mansion and Cemetery, Kalispell Carnegie Library, then on to the Belton Chalet and Depot, and the Lake McDonald Lodge, we saw some of the Flathead's best-preserved, architect-designed landmarks and landscapes. Many thanks to Ellen Baumler, Interpretive Historian, Cindy and staff at the Conrad Mansion, and architect, Jim McDonald for guiding us along and providing a wealth of background information on these places that reflect the lasting impact of Charles Conrad, James J. Hill, and the Great Northern Railroad. Click on the right and left arrows to browse the images. Scroll down for video coverage.
