New Glacier Headquarters Historic District Walking Tour
and Podcast

With a Cultural & Aesthetic grant from the Montana Arts Council, students from the Whitefish Independent High School have created a brochure and companion audio walking tour of Glacier National Park's Headquarters Historic District. Visitors to the district can pick up a brochure on site, and either dial a phone number or use a Smartphone to listen to the audio portion of the tour. The voices of the Whitefish students and their teacher take tourists on a stroll past 15 buildings and provide information about the architecture and inner workings of a major national park.

"It has been a most pleasurable experience to work with these students and I think they are justly proud of the final product -- the park certainly is!" says Lon Johnson, the park's historic preservation architect.
