Our Better Half
Many Thanks to our MPA Volunteers
Behind almost every project at MPA is a dedicated volunteer working to gather information, promote preservation, and keep MPA organized and professional. Our three volunteers donate on average about two to three hours a week completing tasks ranging from filing, data entry and proofreading to historical research and field work. We are ever grateful to them for their time, effort, and interest in our work! Thank you so much Jim, Miki, and Bobbie for all your hard work!
Jim Greene, a retired school teacher, has been with MPA since 2007. As an avid lover of Montana history, he first helped us with field work and research on our forthcoming book, “Montana’s Historic Barns,” and recently assisted with collecting research on our Nez Perce Trail project. On both projects, Jim complimented our research efforts and made it possible for us to find far more information than we could have using staff hours alone.
Miki Wilde, a full-time nurse at St. Peter’s Hospital, came to MPA as a volunteer in 2008 and is our master organizer. She assists with filing, proofreading, membership mailings, event planning, and more. Miki’s keen eye for detail, keeps us on track and on time.
Our newest volunteer is Bobbie Kokoruda. She is ably assisting us with data
entry, membership coordination, and report production. She is so enthusiastic and is fast to pick up everything we throw her way.
MPA currently has room for one more volunteer interested in helping us further design and maintain our website. We also keep an e-mail list of volunteers for those interested in occasional hands-on projects. Please call Chere Jiusto or Christine Brown for more information.
